Hen Rietta

Isn't this just the cutest fabric?!!! It's from Clothworks. They have really been doing some neat stuff. I think it would make such a great row quilt. Just take a section of the border print and make simple blocks in between the rows, and ta da! you have the cutest quilt!!!!!

Saturday Sampler and More.......

Today is our seventh installment of Saturday Sampler Block. This is the block that we will be doing this month. We will review paper piecing and learn some tips on how to do curved piecing. This session Started last September and goes for a year. It's been a lot of fun, and I think lots of quilting tecniques have been covered. You can always jump in if you want to.
Here are some of the past blocks that we have done. Arn't they fun?

Here comes Peter Cotton Tail........ This was a really fun project to do. I think just about anyone would love to have this quilt. In the Book "Bunnies and More" There all kinds of bunnies doing all kinds of things, and not just in 30s fabrics either. There are bunnies in flying saucers and even on tractors. Great Stuff!

A Class with Reynola Packusich

I'm very excited to have my friend, Reynola Packusich coming to teach another class. This one is called "meandering Paths". She is truly an amazing teacher. She can teach color and design like nobody else. She teaches in such a way that you are excited to get playing with your fabric. Don't miss out! Call or stop by to sign up. Soon!
I have been very busy getting ready to go to the Q.A. show next week end (As a vendor) and the Tri County Shop hop that come up right after that. Much Excitement!!! Here is just one of the fun kits that we put together. I think it's sooo cute. Any Grandma would just love to wrap up a new grand baby in it. Most of the kits and quilts are already here in the shop and ready to go. SO, to beat the crowds stop by soon.

Lot's of new fabric!

Aunt Mary's is chalk full of new spring fabric! This is a new line from Mark Lapinsky (Quilters Home Magazine. What a Nut!) This one is called "Krakow" I lOVE IT! I hear he was at Expo in Puyallup, and was a show stopper. Well, I think the new line of fabric kind of reflects him, Edgy and fun.
We have lots of great fabrics in with big wonderful flowers. This is just a few of the new ones from Philip Jacobs with Westminster Fabrics. I just love to have a big piece to pet and look at. Who needs to cut it up? But if you have to, I have a new pattern in that uses these fabrics to make a really easy quilt.

Here's a new line from Timeless Treasures. I'ts very sweet and kind of funky. It's soooo nice to see some springy colors It's still a little early to get out in the yard, so maybe you can still have some sunny spring color in your world. Stop by and see.

Tri County Quilt Stroll

It's time again for the Tri county Shop Hop. this year our theme is "The Sky's the Limit". Last year was our first year and everyone had such a great time, even though it snowed. (This year it's going to be wonderful spring weather. We ordered it early!) We have 16 of the greatest quilt shops in the Northwest right here in our backyard. So come and explore! In each shop you will get a block pattern and see a quilt made up with all the blocks from each shop. Each of us is soooo different that you will be amazed at how different and original the quilts are. Here you see mine. I really had fun making it with the help of a few friends. Stop by the shop for more information.

Applique Society's Show and Tell

Applique society this month was lots of fun!!! We had a very accomplished quilter, Pat Derricott, bring in just a few (25) of her wonderful quilts to show. We were so excited to see some of the things she has done, and what a nice lady se is.
Pat is a very talented quilter. She does most of her work on the machine. That way she can get more done! Hopefully she will come back another time and show us more of her masterpieces.

For those of you that don't know, Applique Society is a national group. We have a great chapter right here at Aunt Mary's. The description of our goal is to promote and encourage all forms of Applique. You don't have to be an expert. Just interested.

Here are some of us having a good time seeing such wonderful quilts. We would love to have you join us. All we require is a love of the quilt!

My Son Stoll My Camera

Well, for all of you that have been checking an and nothing new. SORRY! I was using my son's camera and now he wants it back. Oh well!!! He's a very good kid, so I'll let him have it back and get one of my own. This is a picture of us on his birthday. Isn't it nice when they grow up and become really great people?
