Conteporary Round Robin

These four quilts are from Cindy Hayes' collection of round robin quilts that she has done. She will be facilitating a "Contemporary Round Robin" group here at Aunt Mary's this fall. It's not a class for scaredy cats. She will have you really thinking about design and new techniques. I'm going to love watching this class. Come see her portfolio. It's amazing!

Here's Robert! He's been extra happy this morning. So I thought he would pose for a picture. Isn't he handsome?!!! I think he likes these sunny mornings.

Ready for Fall Classes?

Well, I finally got the fall schedule all ready, I have the newsletter being printed and some of the samples have come in. Now I can start hanging them. I love this time of year. So many possibilities! This is a picture of the class sample for "Quilted For The Wall" They are wonderful art quilts that are streched on a canvas and hung on the wall. Soooo beautiful! Judy will help you make the quilt and show you the process to stretch it.

Here is a sample of the work you can do in Donna's Paintsticks class. Paint sticks are kind of new. They are fun and messy and you'll be so surprised at how easy it is to get some fantastic results. stay tuned for more wonderful samples..........

American Hero's

The American Hero Quilt group was here on Saturday. I just love to have them here. I couldn't get everyone in this picture. This group not only does a great service for our American Heros, They seem to have a fun time doing it!

Lots of fabric is donated, so there is lots of great patriotic fabric for the quilters to add to their quilts.

Not only do they work like little busy bees when they meet, they have lots of volunteer quilters that do the quilting and finish up some of the quilts. One of the ladies dropped of five or six quilts all ready to go. Here is one of the treasures being shared with the group.
