The Snow doesn't keep Aunt Mary Home!!!!

OK! So now I'm just a little tired of all this white stuff!!! It's been quite lonely here. My husband is at this moment clearing the parking lot to make it easier for you to visit. So if you are feeling a little cabin feverish, stop in for a mocha and a smile. One of my friends came by the other day and I was so glad to see someone, I talked their ears off. I promise I will let you leave when you are ready. Happy Holidays!!!! HO, HO, HO!

Our Food Drive This Year

Aunt Mary's Food Drive this year was a great success! So far this season we have delivered 252 pounds of food to the local food bank. Thank you to all that contributed! Quilter are very generous people! In this holiday season, not to mention the economy, more people are in need of our help. I will be accepting food at the store and delivering it to the food bank regularly. So if you want to stop by and donate, please do. Thank you!!!! Carrol

Demo Day - Saturday 12 - 13 Don't Miss it!!!

This Saturday is Demo Day!!! We always have lots of fun on this day. This time I will be featuring projects that can be done in a half hour or less. Yep that's right 30 minuts! I always love to get someting that my friends have made just for me. I'll show you how to make them quick and easy. Here are some of the great projects...... Hot Pads! These little guys are Sooooo easy and everyone love to get one. Pick up a kit and get started. Take home some of the insulbrite batting and make some for everyone!

Pillow case kits!!! These have become a traditional gift that everyone loves. We have lots of them made up and ready to put together. If you don't find just the one you are looking for. We can put the fabric together just for you.

These little Christmas tree napkins have been the biggest hit this year. They are so fast and easy to make. Stop by for a kit that includes the pattern and enough fabric to make four napkins. Then, you can use the pattern to use up all your Christmas stash. Some of my customers have made hundred's of them for everyone they know.

And don't forget to tell Santa that there are lots of wonderful things that would be great for stocking stuffers right on the counter. So the shopping will be fast and easy! Maybe a gift certificate? Check the coupon on my web site and leave it were he will find it. Happy Holidays!!!! Ho Ho Ho! Hope to see you Saturday!!!

A New Friend

A new friend has landed at Aunt Mary's. We found him out in the cold and invited him to come live at Aunt Mary's. I think he will fit right in!

Here is a very quick and easy project. I bet almost anybody could get this done before Santa gets here. It's one panel and two borders. TA DA!!!

Fun Times at Christmas Club

Well, another Christmas club is in the history books! Each year, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we kick off the Christmas season by starting a new Christmas quilt. The goal is to have it done by the next year so that you can bring them for show and tell the next year. This is such a fun event. We have done at Aunt Mary's for around five years now. We break out the Christmas music, eat cookies, and just enjoy each others friendship. Dinner and door prizes and other treats are provided. This is Stephanie and her great quilt she started last year. Isn't it great!!! I love the show and tell part.
Here's a great quilt that Judy worked on last year. Isn't it great?!!!

I think this is Judy behind this quilt that can stand on it's own. It's a great quilt she designed to use a border fabric in a row setting. Just make alternate blocks!

Here's Donna, Ethel, Cherie and Rosealee. By the end of the night they were all well on there way to having some great things to share with us next year. We always make some great memories on these nights. Maybe you can join us next time. Be looking for our next traditional event. SUPPER SEW SUNDAY!!!

New Fabric From Australia

I know you are probably getting ready for that turkey day celebration, but Aunt Mary just got in some new fabric!!!

So are you ready for some really great fabric? This line is from a really small company that imports the fabric from Australia. It's not made to look Australian. It is! Designed by the Aboriginal people in Australia. The rich colors and great textures are incredible!

I really love the unusualness of this fabric. Keep watching for a project made with it. I can't wait to work with it!

Food Drive at Aunt Mary's

I believe it's important to take care of the people in our community. In this economy I think it's even more important. I always have a food drive this time of the year. This year I hope to have even more than we had last year to donate. So, stop by and drop something off. There are a few incentives on my web page so hit the go back button and find them. Also, don't forget the pets this holiday season. So many have a hard time keeping their little furry friends fed. We will gratefully accept pet food donation an get it to those in need. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Roxanne's Classes are GREAT!!!

Are you feeling like you need a little help with a project, or maybe you want a little company with your quilting? Roxanne's classes here at the shop are very popular. This is one of our new quilters showing off a quilt with blocks that she inherited. Now, she came in and said she really didn't want to be a quilter and this was the only one she would ever do. Welllll, I think we got her!!! She did such a great job with this quilt, and I think she enjoyed it. I think we'll see more of her.

Here's Gail. She's such a fun girl! I'm not sure what the project she's working on. She may be here just because the company is so good! The blocks behind her belong to Carol. They are from a buggy barn class. Roxanne will help you finish all kinds of projects.

Here's Jane and Wendy. Jane's holding up one of the blocks she just finished for the block of the month that Roxanne does every year. It's just another great option for her class. I have seen the project for next year and it looks beautiful. You have the option of the size and if you want to learn to quilt as you go. Roxanne will get you there!
