Fall is here

Pretty flowers from a friend. Thanks! I love dalias. They look like they have been hand painted. Mother nature loves color too!!!

Aunt Mary's is getting a new paint job. If you stop by while the trucks are here, just park and come in or come in the back door.

Hasn't is been just a glorious fall so far? Here are the trees along the side of the building. The tree in the forground always starts turning before the others. I love fall! these trees will be so beautifull in a few weeks.

Stitchery Club is here!

Every second Friday of each month the "Stitchery Club" meets at Aunt Mary's. This group just loves to do "Red Work" or any kind of embroidery. It's a great time to come in, order a mocha, sit, relax and be with some other great gals that love stitchery.

It's always fun to see what someone has done. Show and tell is a highlight! They would just love to have you join them.

Applique Society Meets at Aunt Mary's

The Second Wednesday of each month the "Applique society" group takes over the classroom. Applique society is a national group that is interested in sharing and celebrating the art of applique. The chapter that meets here is quit new. We have been meeting for only four months now, but we have lots of members all ready. We meet from 4 in the afternoon to around 7 in the evening. We work on out projects and have "show and tell" (That's always fun) Following show and tell we have a great potluck dinner. The food has been really fabulous! We would love to have you join us!
Here's my friends Leanne and Cheryl, busy sharing their projects and enjoying catching up.

These three look like trouble! You can be sure to have a good time if you sit next to them!

A Finished Qult

In Case anybody ever wonders what I do with my Days off. Well, yesterday I finished quilting this quilt, and got the binding on it. It always feels soooooo good to finish something. But, then I miss having something in my hands at night and I have to start something else! This was a really fun little quilt I did out of the book "Simple Seasons."It's got some great projects in it I enjoyed doing this one. Applique makes me happy. Look for my class on applique in my class schedule. We can get you addicted too.

Saturday Sampler Starts Next Week

I found this quilt in a great magazine this summer and thought it would make a nice Saturday Sampler. The blocks are all different sizes and it will give me the oportunity to do lots of different tecniques. There will be lots to learn. Basic piecing, Curves, Paper piecing, Hand and Machine applique, and soooo much more. There are four sessions each month that you could come to. Give me a call or stop by for more information and to sign up.

These little four inch leaf blocks will be our first block. You will have the choice to put them together as an eight inch block, or stack them on top of each other as a string of falling leaves. I thought leaves would be nice for September. They are using quite basic piecing tecniques.

Need a place to work?

Did you know that Aunt Mary's classrom is always open for you to use. (If there isn't a class) Yep! Just give us a call and I can reserve it for you and your friends. This is My friend Judy working on a project. (Maybe a class sample for next quarter)

The Classroom is a great place to lay out projects that are to big for home. Maybe you have to sandwich a quilt. No Problem!

We Love Stitchery At Aunt Mary's

Here at Aunt Mary's, we really love our stitchery and "Red Work". There are such great patterns coming out all the time. Here is a part of a pattern called "Hocus Pocus Ville" by Meg Hawkey. It has 12 houses from a witches village. I have really enjoyed stitching it up.
Some of the projects are small and easy to get done. They make a great portable project. I have mine in a baggie in my purse for all of those unexpected stitching minutes.

Lots of the lattest patterns are always in stock or coming in. I really love to make samples so there are new ones quite often.

New Fabrics Arriving Daily

What cute blackbird fabric! There are new fabrics coming in almost every day. It always feels like Christmas when the UPS man arrives.

Here are some wonderful snowman flannels. Would they make great PJ's for winter?
