Sharing,BBQ and Shoping!

What a fun Day! Here's my friend Donna and her husband, Ray. They are enjoying a BBQ lunch and visiting. For some reason nobody else would let me take their pictures while they were eating?

Here's Deb with such a great way to display a quilt! I am of the opinion that all quilts are a piece of art. framing it was such a great idea!

Here's my friend Sherry's quilt. It's another finished quilt from Aunt Mary's Saturday sampler class 2008. I love it!!! Sherry really has a way with color!

Here's Cleo's quilts. shes is such a shy retiring personality. Her quilts so totally reflect her! I had such a great time this week with all the sharing of quilts. It's so rewarding to think I influenced some of these ladies. I am VERY Proud to know all of you. THANK YOU!

It's Customer Appreciation Days here at the shop, and I encouraged all my good customers and friends to come share their accomplishments with me. I so love to see your projects. This one is Marta Esta's. She took my Saturday Samples class a few years ago. Now it's finished!!! I love this one! Everyone of the quilts from this class that I have seen is Soooo different!!!

Here's Marta with a quilt she did in Roxanne's "Girls Night Out" it's Roxanne's Block of the Month for last year. Isn't it neat!

Here's Dorothy! Isn't this a sweet project? I just love the jewel tones and the scrapyness of it. geepers, Dorothy that's a lot of four patches! I will have these quilts and hopefully more, hanging around the shop for the big BBQ lunch on Saturday. If you have one. Maybe you should bring it in to show!

A New Triangle Project

This week I have been working on a few projects that use the friendship triangles. They really are easy to use, and it's just endless the projects that you can make with them. This is a little table topper that fits just perfectly on my dinning room table. It only takes four of the triangle rolls to make. Next, I will be working on a "tree of life" quilt. Stay tuned! You better get in and get some of the rolls. They are going fast!

And check out this cute little project! I think it would make such a cute baby quilt. It's such a HOOT!

Take it home and sew on the dotted lines and cut on the solid lines. This only take a few minutes and makes 28 half square triangles! Bring your triangles in a baggie with your name and how many triangles your baggie contains and on Saturday, August 21st we will have a FRIENDSHIP TRIANGLE PARTY! exchange you triangles so that you have lots and lots of variety. See some great projects and patterns that use your triangle. Projects big and small. I think it will be fun!

Fall Is In The Air

Ok! so I hope it's not in the air yet. We've only just got some nice summer weather. But, the fall fabrics are starting to come in. This is a great collection from Wilmington Fabrics. It has some really great posibilities.
New, inspirational samples are starting to show up in the shop. My friend Donna made this little pillow with some of the new fabric and the book "Christmas with Possibilities". Cute!!! I know it's hard to start thinking about all this now, but don't get mad at me in November when I am almost out of the Christmas and fall things. We always have to thnk ahead! I'm sure Santa and his elves don't wait till after Thanksgiving. So now you know why I LOVE the 4th of July.

It's Begining To Look Alot Like Christmas

Well, I'm back from vacation! I feel so much more relaxed and ready to meet each day with a better outlook than I was feeling right after shop hop. The forth of July holiday at my house is such a good time. I look forward to it more than I do Christmas!
So now I'm back and look whats showing up. Yep! It's time to start thinking about the OTHER holiday. Christmas is coming! Really!

There are some really great collections coming in almost every day. So I guess we better start some Christmas projects. New patterns and books with some great projects will be arriving soon too. Lets get moving! Only 163 days, 12 hours and 18 minutes left till Santa gets here! OH THE PRESSURE!!!!

Time Off! Pricless!!!!

It's time for me to take some very needed time off. Time to sit under the apple trees, read a good book and listen to the birdies sing. My friends Ethel and Kathy will be here at the shop for all your quilting needs. They are just the greatest gals. I bet you will want them to take care of you even when I come back! See you in a week or so. Happy fourth of July!!!!
