I Love It When They Share

I really do like to see what all of you do with the treasures you buy from me. These girls made this beautiful quilt from the Paula
Nadelstern fabric we had. It's for a silent auction at Meridian school. I hope they bid this up big time! She had a few blocks left over and made a great bag to go with it. Good luck girls!!!

The Party's Over

Well, the Tri County Quilt Tour 2010 is in the history books. I really had lots of fun with all the great people that came through. I hope they all enjoyed it as much as I did. Now it's time to start thinking about the big one in June. But in the mean time new things just keep coming in. Here's some wonderful new fabric that has come in. It's the Northcott Fabrics Quilt For a Cure fabric. I think it's beautiful! Pansies are one of my favorite flowers.

I'm Back!

The Q.A. Show out at Monroe was a great success! Here's my booth. We had such a good time. Yesterday was spent getting it all back in the shop and looking good. I think it's kind of like camping. You get all excited about going camping. It's fun to get ready to go. You have lots and lots of fun while your there, but then you gotta go home and do all the laundry and clean up.... Yuck!!!

Here's Kathy and me. Boy I look excited! I so don't like my picture taken. I look soooo much better in person. Oh well. Over all We had a really fun weekend at a fantastic show. Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Boy Oh Boy! I'm feeling little frazzled! I had that nasty cold that is going around and took a few days off. We won't even talk about that. Now I'm getting ready for the Q.A Quilt Show out at the Monroe fair grounds this week-end. I will be having a vendors booth so there's just lots and lots to do. It's really a great show. I hope to see everyone there. I try not to take the whole shop, but I just don't know what to leave here. So if your planing to come to Aunt Mary's this week-end it will look a little empty. But then........ next week-end is the TRI COUNTY QUILT TOUR!!! Yep! I will have two days (Monday and Tuesday) to get it all back to beautiful so everyone can come and visit! NOOOO PRESSURE THERE!
I will try and post some pictures on Monday of the Quilt Show. So until then. Toodle loo.

Friends Take Over The Classroom

Aren't these girls fun! They are just part of a fun group that comes to Aunt Mary's several times each month to enjoy using my classroom as a meeting place. It's always comfy here. The atmosphere is conducive to having a good time and maybe getting some works done. (But I'm sure that's not the main point of it all.) We also make the best mocha's and lattes!

So if you are looking for a place for your friends to meet. Just give me a call and we'll get you on the calendar.

Family Vacation?

So what's the plans for vacation this summer? Maybe a road trip? This fabric and book take me back to the back seat of my dad's car. I almost want to ask if we're there yet.

What a fun book "Get Your Stitch on route 66. Quilts From the Mother Road" This Book is just full of Route 66 history. It also has several really fun quilts using embroidery and pieced blocks that are named after some of the roadside attractions. How fun! maybe this summer, with the gass prices the way they are you could just have a virtual vacation. ROAD TRIP!!!!

Book Club Day!

It's the First Thursday of the month...... So that means it's BOOK CLUB! One of my favorite days of the month!
We always have such a great discussion on the book we read for the month. We will be discussing "The View From Mt Joy" By Lorna Landvik. I wasn't to crazy about this months selection, but it will be a very lively discussion for sure. That's what is so great, getting other peoples views on the book. For the month of March we will read "Still Alice" and the discussion for the book will be on April 1st. April Fools Day! that should be fun!!! come join us.
