Christmas Is Coming!

So the Shop Hop is over for another year! What fun we all had!!! I worked on getting the shop cleaned up and things bact to where they go and noticed the shelves are getting a bit low. But then the UPS man came with new things. It look like Christmas fabrics will be the new stuff for this month. Let's get you guys going on your holiday projects!

I just had to slip in this picture of my goofy son, Pat. He's just the best guy in the whole world. (OK! he is just little bit on the strange side sometimes. But he's the BEST!) He helped me on Sunday with the shop hop. He hasn't missed a Shop Hop in ten years. I'm so Lucky!

I Think we are all having fun

Shop hop has been such a good time. We have had lots and lots of visitors. The weather has held up pretty well, so I think everyone would agree that it's been a big success! I just love the laughs and good times. I get to see some customer that I only see once or twice a year. It's fun to see them and catch up.

And here's some of my friends being goofy! I can always count on them.

Here's my wonderful son Andy and his sweet friend Alex. They have been so great at the passport table. This is Andy's tenth shop hop. I'm so lucky to have their help.

OK! I'm Ready!!!

So here I am early this morning. the shop is all ready for the Great Northwest Shop Hop. I think we have lots and lots of great stuff for everyone to see. New projects and some fun demos. I will try to post some pictures of all the fun. Hope to see you here.

Texture Magic! Fun Stuff!!!

Hey Look What You can do! I made this really fun bag using a new product "Texture Magic", and a fun new bag pattern. It really is a lot of fun to play with. I used some of the patterns in the Whimsical Garden Pattern and played with the applique. (You don't have to applique though. It makes a great texture without it too) Then you layer it with the product, play around with stitching it on. (Great place to practice machine applique. even straight lines will do) Then the magic happens. Using your iron, steam the back and it crinkles all up. Fun Stuff!! We will be demoing it during shop hop. You can use it for all kinds of things!

Ta Da!!!! It's Done!

It's finished and Hanging!!! There is really not very many projects that I can say "I really loved every minnute making it." But this one really takes the cake. (Piece o cake! tee hee) this was the funnest project. Every time I look at it I smile. So if your interested, I have the pattern and lots of the fabric, or I have full kits in a project box ready to go home with you. Now I have to find a new project. Hmmm........

A Cozy little place to meet friends and be inspired.

I spent all morning this morning tearing up the book area, cleaning, hanging new quilts and generally tidying up. I think it looks quite inviting! I think I'll sit down, relax and have a latte!

Good Friends!

Here are some great girls that come and invade my classroom quite regularly. They sew and bring in goodies to eat and have a great time all day. The classroom is available for any group to use. As long as I don't have a class going on. So if your group is looking for a place to meet. Well........ Just give me a call and we can schedule time for you and your friends too.

New Panels

We just got some new panels into the shop. They are just like little pieces of art. You sure can't call them "Cheater Panels" I think they stand on their own merritt. Just Beautiful!!! this fishing one came from Wilmington prints. Kind of a new company. Stay tuned for some really great things from them. I ordered several that I am excited to get in.
There's just sooo much you can do with them. Cut them up if you want or piece around them. I think they are wonderful!

Shop Hop Posters are here!

We have the Shop Hop posters in. I think there are some really great blocks this year. I know, I know some people are not crazy about the fabric. Well then, I'm glad it's not all about the fabric anyway. Get some of your friends together and get out there for a really fun ROAD TRIP! This is truly the greatest time of the year to see the best quilt shops in the nation. We are all decked out and at our best for this event. I hope you all have just the greatest time!

Lots to do!

First I want to say I am sorry for my dereliction of blogging duties. Here we are just around the corner from the big shop hop and I just have way to much to do. I tend to try to get too much done. Here is my funnest quilt I can remember doing. It's the great pattern from Piece o Cake designs. If all goes well we will have kits for it by Shop Hop. I have thoroughly enjoyed every minite of this quilt! It's just a bit much in the time I gave myself. Hopefully the shop will be just packed with new fun projects for the big Hop. Stay tuned!
